Ginger (Zingiber officinale)

Form: standardized ginger extract/capsules

Dose: 1–1.5 g/day in divided doses

Divide into 3–4 doses

Up to several weeks as needed

Why: Multiple RCT meta-analyses show ginger reduces NVP vs placebo.

Cautions
  • May cause reflux
  • Caution with anticoagulants at higher doses

Doxylamine (MEDICATION; clinician-directed)

Dose: 12.5 mg 1–3×/day or per local guidance

Often at bedtime ± morning/afternoon if needed
